EDMONDS — A floatplane having engine problems had to land in the water and be towed to shore near Edmonds on Saturday afternoon.
There were no injuries.
A captain from Kenmore Air notified 911 dispatchers about 1:51 p.m. that the floatplane had made a water landing and needed to be towed to shore, said Leslie Hynes, spokeswoman for the Snohomish County Fire District 1. It landed about a half a mile south of Marina Beach Park after having trouble with its engine.
The fire district’s rescue boat, Marine 16, towed the plane to Marina Beach.
Two passengers and a pilot were on board.
