Man, dog escape mobile home fire in Marysville

MARYSVILLE — A man and his dog escaped a mobile home fire without injury near Smokey Point just before 4 p.m. on Sunday.
The man helped firefighters contain the blaze to the kitchen area. The home is located in the Crystal Tree Village trailer park on 25th Avenue NE in Marysville.
About 13 Marysville and Arlington firefighters responded. They were able to extinguish the fire in under 10 minutes, said Marysville Battalion Chief Aaron Soper.
“The homeowner did a really good job of keeping it at bay,” he said.
The cause of the fire is being investigated. The trailer house sustained about $25,000 worth of damages.
The man is staying with family, Soper said.
