SEATTLE — Seattle police say a woman has been arrested for allegedly hurling a frozen chicken breast and other trash out of her fifth floor apartment at a crowd during Sunday’s Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
Police said a man was supporting the crowd was hit by green juice, and a young runner was pelted by the chicken.
Officers working traffic control during the fundraiser race saw garbage fall out of the apartment in the Belltown neighborhood. They also found a trash bag full of cat litter and feces on the street.
The woman was booked into King County Jail for investigation of assault and a misdemeanor trespassing warrant.
She reportedly told officers she had worked a long shift and was upset that runners had woken her from her sleep.
