The 144-car Tokitae (toh-kee-tay) was accepted Monday by Washington State Ferries.
The Kitsap Sun reports its addition will allow the oldest ferry in the fleet, the 60-year-old Evergreen State, to be retired.
Tokitae is a Salish word meaning nice day, pretty colors. Its the second of three ferries being built by the Vigor Industrial shipyard in Seattle for $384 million for all three.
