Fond memories of camp he founded
I worked for five years at Miracle Ranch, which Jack Geer founded in 1960, and two at Island Lake. My camp name was “Swish.” There were incredible leaders — Peterson, Wolotira, Hill, Welch, Mayden and Smidt — at the lake. All unbelievable people. The stunning beauty of the horses and the raw thrill of the motorbikes were undeniable blessings.
However, seeing the way Almighty God worked through a united Christian staff to teach and bless the young campers was definitely the biggest highlight of the whole enchilada. Only eternity will reveal how big of a deal it was in the Good Lord's sovereign plan.
But one thing is for sure: Jack Geer has been right in the middle of all of it.
