BOTHELL — Police here are investigating an assault that left a 4-month-old girl on life support.
Staff at a Seattle hospital called Child Protective Services on May 29 after the baby was brought in with serious injuries, Bothell police Sgt. Ken Seuberlich said.
“Our investigation is based off what medical personnel told us,” he said. “The injuries appeared to be the result of an assault.”
The baby was transported from Harborview Medical Center to the intensive care unit at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
She remains hospitalized, Seuberlich said.
No arrests have been made.
“Anyone who had contact with that child before May 29 is a person of interest to us,” Seuberlich said.
The baby’s family lives in a small neighborhood in the north end of Bothell, he said. She was brought to Harborview about 10 p.m.
Detectives on Wednesday declined to release additional information pending the ongoing investigation.
