I’m writing this letter to bring attention to a very worthy cause — Relay for Life.
My daughter and many of her friends and neighbors here have participated in this walk for a number of years. She had cancer, but is good now.
The next event is Arlington’s Relay for Life, with the opening ceremony at 1 p.m., June 21 (Saturday) at Arlington High School’s football field, 18821 Crown Ridge Boulevard. The walk continues all day Saturday, through the night and until the closing ceremony at 8 a.m. Sunday.
Cascade Valley Hospital Foundation and Cascade Valley Hospital and Clinics will also host free mammograms from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. To schedule an appointment, call 360-618-7848. To participate, or for more information, visit Relayforlife.org.
I hope someone from the paper can be there for the opening.
