Stanwood boys take second at Meadowdale hoops tourney

The Stanwood varsity boys basketball team continued its impressive summer with a second-place finish this past weekend at the Meadowdale Maverick shootout.

The Spartans lost the championship game to Roosevelt after wins over South Whidbey and host Meadowdale.

The 12-team tournament included nine teams from Wesco and the Cascade Conference: Meadowdale, Everett, Lakewood, Cedarcrest, Marysville Pilchuck, Stanwood, Kamiak, Lake Stevens and South Whidbey.
