Tacoma man charged in death of 3-year-old son

TACOMA — The Pierce County prosecutor says a 32-year-old Tacoma man beat his 3-year-old son to death because the boy wet the bed,
Kingsa McKnight was charged Wednesday with homicide by abuse in the death of the boy who was taken off life support Monday.
He was unconscious when he was taken to a hospital Saturday and could not be revived. Doctors found recent head trauma and a liver laceration and fractured rib from different times in the past month.
The prosecutor’s office says the boy’s parents live separately, and he spent his last three days in his father’s care. The boy’s mother told detectives that McKnight was angry because he shared a bed with his son and the boy wet the bed the two previous nights.
