The $32 million Engineering Research Building will connect to the Molecular Engineering and Sciences Building and is scheduled for completion in September 2016.
The Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce reports (http://bit.ly/1nHA0Ce ) the six-story building is being constructed as a shell. Only part of it will be built out initially and the rest will be finished as the space is needed.
Research that is sensitive to vibrations and electromagnetic interference will be moved to the new building.
