MONROE — People in the Marbello housing development don’t have to boil their drinking water anymore.
Iliad Inc. has flushed the water system it operates just north of Monroe. Lab results received Thursday show the water meets safe drinking standards.
Iliad issued the boil-water advisory on Tuesday after a main broke and the system lost pressure. When water lines break, contaminants can potentially enter the system.
The advisory affected about 97 homes in the Marbello development, which is off Chain Lake Road. About 290 people live there.
Customers who have questions about their water service may call Iliad at 206-282-4200.
