Fourth of July events throughout Snohomish County on Friday will celebrate America’s independence with pomp, sparks and pageantry.
Everett
Colors of Freedom Parade: Begins at 11 a.m. at Colby and Wetmore avenues.
Colors of Freedom Festival: At Legion Memorial Park from 1 to 11 p.m. Free kids’ activities, food, live music and a fireworks show over Port Gardner. There will be a free Everett Transit shuttle from Everett Community College’s Broadway lot and Everett Station.
Yankee Doodle Dash: 1-mile, 5K and 10K races at the Everett Family YMCA, 2720 Rockefeller Ave.. Register at your local Y or online at www.ymca-snoco.org/ydd. Registration the day of the dash opens at 7 a.m. Race start times: 10K at 8:45 a.m.; 5K at 8:30 a.m.; 1 mile at 8:50 a.m.

Fourth of July Fair: At Old School Park following the parade. Sponsored by Mansford Grange. The New Old Time Chautauqua Circus will participate in the parade and perform at the fair.
Fireworks: Sponsored by the city. At dusk at Darrington schools.
Camano Island
Ladies Aid Bake Sale: Begins 10 a.m. at Stanwood Street and Utsalady Road.
Patriotic Walk and Flag Ceremony: At 11 a.m. at Stanwood Street and Utsalady Road.
Play area, veteran’s remembrance and music Sponsored by Terry’s Corner starting at 3 p.m. at Sunrise Boulevard and Highway 532.
Fireworks: 10:30 p.m. at Windjammer Park, also known as City Beach.
Bothell
Freedom Festival: Starts with a pancake breakfast at the downtown firehouse at 8:30 a.m. A parade for children 12 and under begins at 11:15 a.m. along Main Street and Bothell Way. No motorized vehicles are permitted. The Grand Parade follows, on the same route.
Stanwood
Fourth of July parade: Participants meet at 10:30 a.m. in the parking lot between Josephine Sunset Home and Our Savior Lutheran Church. The parade will end in the Historic West End of Stanwood at the Floyd Norgaard Cultural Center. The parade will be followed by a strawberry and ice cream social, free popsicles and games for children.
