Buzz Inn lands new site in Granite Falls
Buzz Inn has purchased the brick-and-glass building at 109 S. Granite Ave. that previously housed the Robinís Nest Boutique, a local shop and cafe that closed this spring.
Buzz Inn General Manager Josh Herschlip said the interior of the building is expected to be remodeled to create Buzz Innís 12th steakhouse in the state, and its ninth in Snohomish County. Itís anticipated to be the restaurant chainís largest location, with 30 employees and seating for 160 people.
Herschlip hopes to open the Granite Falls Buzz Inn in September or October.
Buzz Inn now plans to put a parking lot and outdoor community space at 116 E. Stanley St., where the company originally planned to build the new restaurant. The Timberline Cafe, which occupied the space, has been torn down and the lot leveled.
The Timberline closed in 2012 after former Mayor Haroon Saleemcq was evicted by landlord Craig Ohm for failing to pay more than a yearís worth of rent.
