Prime time dishes up more food fights with “Restaurant Startup.” It’s a reality series that has contestants pitching their eatery concepts to a pair of investors with the hopes of making their culinary dreams come true. 10 p.m., CNBC.
Wednesday
“Extant”: If Sandra Bullock can rocket off into outer space, why not Halle Berry? In this suspenseful, futuristic “event” series, the Oscar-winner plays an astronaut, who after a 13-month solo mission, struggles to reconnect with her family, which includes a creepy little robot boy. But there’s a bigger problem: While in space, she somehow became pregnant. Uh-oh. Baby (or alien?) on board. 9 p.m., CBS (Channel 7).
The mix of money laundering, police corruption, drug wars and culture clashes continues to make for a very dark crime thriller as “The Bridge” returns for Season 2. Diane Kruger and Demian Bichir star. 10 p.m., FX.
Thursday
Does funny run in the family? That’s our hope with “Welcome to Sweden.” It’s a fish-out-of-water sitcom starring Greg Poehler — brother of Amy — as an accountant to the stars who quits his job and moves to Stockholm to be with his sweetheart. 9:01 p.m., NBC (Channel 5).
That funny lady from “The King of Queens” becomes the latest celebrity to invite prying TV cameras into her life for “Leah Remini: It’s All Relative.” Hey, we’ve all got bills to pay. 10 p.m., TLC.
Friday
It’s a good night to chill out as “Frozen,” the box-office blockbuster from Disney, gets a cable TV airing just so we can hear Idina Menzel sing “Let It Go” for the millionth time. 8 p.m., Starz.
Saturday
“Presumed Dead in Paradise” is the intriguing title for a TV film about a trouble teen who becomes embroiled in a dark conspiracy after everyone thinks she drowned while vacationing on a tropical island with her estranged stepmother. 8 p.m., Lifetime.
