Around the remote: Television picks for the week

Monday
Word has it that “lives will be lost” in the finale of “24: Live Another Day.” Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) faces a grave decision while trying to prevent a massive terror plot. 9 p.m., Fox.
Tuesday
A new installment of “Frontline” called “Separate and Unequal” looks at the effort by some residents in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to form a new and better school district — one that would be mostly affluent and white. 10 p.m. PBS.
Wednesday
In the new drama “The Divide,” a caseworker (Marin Ireland) tries to halt the execution of a man she believes was wrongly convicted of murdering a Philadelphia family. This ticks off the district attorney. 9 p.m., WE tv.
Thursday
In “Rush,” an offbeat new medical show, Tom Ellis plays a doctor who attempts to remove all traces of empathy when dealing with his patients. So, he’s a renegade who will do any job for cash up front. 9 p.m., USA.
Friday
On the latest “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” Guy Fieri visits Monterey, California, and a second-generation Italian eatery. 10 p.m., Food Network.
Saturday
Andie MacDowell returns as Judge Olivia Lockhart in Season 2 of “Cedar Cove.” It’s the show that proves that soapy, shady shenanigans can happen even in a quaint little coastal town. 8 p.m., Hallmark Channel.
