Snohomish County deputy prosecutor Janice Albert already twice this year has charged Aaron Knapp with drug crimes. The deputy prosecutor on Friday charged Knapp with multiple additional felonies in connection with his most recent arrest. Last month investigators allegedly found 16 guns, including an anti-tank weapon, inside Knapp’s car and storage locker.
The Snohomish Regional Drug and Gang Task Force arranged to buy drugs from Knapp with the help of a confidential informant. A drug-sniffing dog nosed out drugs in Knapp’s car and locker, Albert wrote in charging papers. A bomb-sniffing dog also indicated that there were explosives in the locker.
Police found more than a combined pound of meth and heroin, three guns and $47,000 in cash in the car, court papers said. They found 13 more firearms in the storage locker. The convicted felon cannot possess firearms.
Knapp was being held on $1 million bail.
