Gold Bar: Seeks new City Council memberThe city of Gold Bar is accepting applications for an open seat on the City Council.
Kenneth Ware has resigned from Position 5. He is taking a job in California.
To apply for the open seat, one must be a registered voter who has lived in Gold Bar for at least one year. Application letters may be dropped off or mailed to 107 Fifth St., Gold Bar, WA 98251. They also may be emailed to l.loen@cityofgoldbar.us.
Mountlake Terrace: Review trail planAn open house about the Lakeview Trail project design is set for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 30 at the Mickey Corso Community Clubhouse at Ballinger Park, 23000 Lakeview Drive.
The project involves new bicycle and pedestrian trails on east-west routes across the city. A short presentation is set for 7 p.m.

The meeting is expected to include discussion of facilities planning. It is to take place in the school district board room at 200 E. Fremont St.
Snohomish: Church plans garage saleZion Lutheran Church in Snohomish is to hold a garage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday at 330 Union Ave.
Proceeds from the sale are expected to go toward material for caps for people undergoing chemotherapy and maintenance of a van used for community services.
Stanwood: Join park cleanupVolunteers are needed to help clean up Church Creek Park on 72nd Avenue NW in Stanwood.
Work parties are planned from Aug. 5 to Aug. 8 with Grove Church members from Marysville.
The work involves clearing brush, spreading bark and painting.
