Victims and responders gather at the site of a motorboat-versus-sailboat collision around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday on the western shore of Lake Washington in Seattle.

SEATTLE — Seattle police have arrested the driver of a motorboat that collided with a sailboat on Seattle’s Lake Washington, killing a 24-year-old woman and injuring two others.
Police spokesman Drew Fowler said Thursday that the 46-year-old man from Renton was booked into King County Jail on investigation of homicide by motorcraft.
He says more charges may be pending as police investigate the Wednesday night collision. Police believe alcohol was involved in the crash.
Seattle fire spokesman Kyle Moore says three of the seven people on the 21-foot sailboat were thrown in the water, including the woman who died.
Hospital spokeswoman Susan Gregg says a man was in serious condition at Harborview Medical Center on Thursday. Another person was treated there and released.
