Bless those who help! My husband, who has dementia, was lost for two nights and three days earlier this month. He was found, but only with the help of many people.
I thank my family, especially granddaughters Jennifer, Nicole, Allison, and Kristina and her husband, Mike. I thank my friends, the Helms, and their daughters, Robin and Sue. I also thank the man in Olympia who notified the Olympia police. The staff at the Marysville Co-op were wonderfully kind and kept him there until we arrived.
The 911 Edmonds police officer informed us there would not be an Amber Alert. I hope this policy will change. Dementia does not impair all skills and is not always easy to detect in strangers. Bless those who try!
