SEATTLE — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has a new commander for the Seattle District, which covers much of the Pacific Northwest.
Colonel John G. Buck took over command on Friday.
He’ll oversee military construction in Washington, Idaho, Montana and Oregon. He’ll also manage civil works engineering and construction projects in Washington, Idaho and Montana.
The Seattle District has about 900 employees and manages projects worth a half billion dollars.
