Klein is top qualifier at WSWGA State Championship

Gretchen Klein of Grays Harbor earned medalist honors Monday during stroke-play qualifying at the Washington State Womenís Golf Association State Championship at Everett Golf & Country Club.
Klein shot a 7-over-par 79 to finish one shot ahead of Leslie Fitzpatrick of Mill Creek and Sharon Drummey of Rainier.
The qualifying scores are used to determine seeding for match play, which begins Tuesday and runs through Friday.
