MARYSVILLE — A local craft shop is organizing a “Fun in the Sun” carnival for kids of all ages.
Craft Mart’s event will take place Saturday, Aug. 9, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the store in the Marysville Mall.
Featured events include an ice cream eating contest, a cake walk, face painting, a coloring contest and various gifts and prizes.
Kids will need to register in advance for the ice cream contest, either by calling the store at 360-653-9828 or signing up in person.
To take part in the coloring contest, kids will need to pick up a coloring page and drop it off by Aug. 6. Winners will be announced on the carnival day. More information is available on Craft Mart’s web page (craftmartnorthwest.com) and Facebook page (facebook.com/pages/Craft-Mart/28963482 7716385).
“All of this is to promote healthy fun for the children of Marysville,” said Carole Estenson, the manager of Craft Mart.
