SEATTLE — As the Blue Angels return to Seattle for Seafair, so do I-90 bridge closures.
The state Department of Transportation is reminding motorists that the I-90 bridge over Lake Washington will be closed as the Blue Angels practice twice on Thursday and once on Friday.
Thursday’s first closure starts at 9:45 a.m. and ends at noon. The second Thursday closure starts at 1:15 p.m. and ends at 2:40 p.m. Friday’s closure goes from 12:15 p.m. to 2:40 p.m.
The span will also close on Saturday and Sunday starting at 12:15 p.m. for the weekend shows.
The Federal Aviation Administration requires the state to close I-90 while the Blue Angels perform for the safety of both drivers and pilots.
