Man hospitalized after lying in road near Mukilteo

MUKILTEO — A man was hospitalized on Thursday afternoon after witnesses reported that he was deliberately lying down in a Mukilteo-area roadway. Witnesses also said the man had been walking around in traffic and appeared to be drunk, said trooper Mark Francis with the Washington State Patrol.

The reports started about 3:40 p.m. near the Highway 525 and Highway 99 interchange.

The man’s age and other details were not available Friday.
