Weekend to-do list: Giant garage sale, 'Lego Movie,' outdoor festival

Huge sale: Everett's Northwest Neighborhood's "Mother of all Garage Sales" is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Maps with addresses and items for sale are available at homes. For more information, go here.
Can it: Learn about canning, including fruit, jam, tomatoes and pickles. The class is from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday at the Mukilteo Library. Pre-register here or call 425-493-8202.
Legos: See "The Lego Movie" outdoors at Silver Lake on Friday. The show begins at dusk, but Imagine Children's Museum offers pre-show entertainment starting at 7:30 p.m. Bring a blanket or low-backed chair.
Outdoors: Skyfest is Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Index. There will be a number of clinics on various outdoor-related topics and activities focusing on conservation. Get more info here.
Arts: And while you're in Index, check out the Index Arts Festival on Saturday. See local artists' best work. There will also be entertainment, food and activities for kids. Get more info here.
Shiny: The Granite Falls Show 'N' Shine is 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. There will of course be shiny cars and other vehicles as well as food, vendors and activities for kids. Get more info here.
Local fair: The Stanwood-Camano Community Fair runs through Sunday. You'll find all the usual fair fun including a carnival, entertainment, displays, animals and more. Get details and read up on the musical acts here.
Music: Hot Bodies in Motion play Friday night at The Cannery  in Everett, along with Fauna Shade and Black Whales. Show is 21 and over. Get tickets here.
History: Lynnwood's Heritage Park has an open house from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. There will be tours, treats and a chance to look inside the historical structures, including Interurban Car 55. Get more info here.
Big Four: Learn about the history of the Big Four Inn and the ecosystem of the area near the Big Four Ice Caves. The talks and short hikes are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Saturday and Sunday until September. Get more info here.
