‘Movies Under the Moon’ in Monroe
Monroe Parks & Recreation has teamed with local groups to bring free movies to Lake Tye Park on selected Friday nights during the summer. This Friday, a showing of “The Lego Movie” is scheduled for dusk, at about 9 p.m.
Children’s crafts and live music are set to begin at 8 p.m. People are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs and enjoy the concessions. For a movie schedule, go to http://tinyurl.com/p325gcb.
Show ’n’ shine in Granite Falls: The 34th Annual Granite Falls Show ’n’ Shine is set for Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event features classic cars and motorcycles; an Art in the Park showcase and sale; a performance by the Seattle Cossacks Motorcycle Stunt and Drill Team; activities for children; and a Texas barbecue at the Granite Falls IGA.
Admission to the Show ’n’ Shine is free. Vendors and events are located in downtown Granite Falls near the IGA.
YWCA clothing sale: The YWCA Working Women’s Wardrobe program will be having its first annual overstock clothing sale from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Aug. 8 at 3301 Broadway in Everett. There will be deals on brand-name women’s clothing. All sales benefit YWCA programs in Snohomish County. Cash, checks and credit cards accepted.
