Mary Lambert releases official video for “Secrets”

A while back I posted the new single “Secrets” from Everett native Mary Lambert. Now Mary has released the official video for the first track off of her upcoming full length Heart On My Sleeve which you can preorder on iTunes now. The video is pretty much the most adorable thing you’ve ever seen.

New Perfume Genius single

Seattle’s Perfume Genius recently released the video for their new single “Queen” and it is a weird one. Weird in that waking up and trying piece together the really awesome, confusing and psychedelic dream you just had kind of way. You can see Perfume Genius at the Neptune Theater in Seattle on October 25.

Fauna Shade on a roll

Everett band Fauna Shade has had a pretty great year taking 2nd place at EMP Sound Off!, playing the Fisherman’s Village Music Festival, Timber! Outdoor Music Fest and plenty of great club shows. I Will Keep Your Ghost frontman staying busy

Last, I recently had the chance to catch up with I Will Keep Your Ghost front man Bryan Bradly about what he has been up to. There was lots to talk about as he has been hard at work on fresh material for an upcoming full length and there might be some new stuff surfacing late this year or early next year. This is exciting news for the Everett band who’s first EP It’s Natural got a lot of great reviews earlier this year.

Would you want to give something as elaborate as this a name as mundane as “bread box”? A French Provincial piece practically demands the French name panetiere.
A panetiere isn’t your modern bread box. It’s a treasure of French culture

This elaborately carved French antique may be old, but it’s still capable of keeping its leavened contents perfectly fresh.

Why? Faked signatures, reused molds and imitated styles can make it unclear who actually made any given piece of glass.
