Burien man killed in shootout with deputies

BURIEN — A man was fatally wounded in a shootout with deputies who had responded to a domestic violence incident Sunday night in Burien.
The King County sheriff’s office said the wounded man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he died.
KIRO reported that the incident began about 7 p.m. Sunday and involved a woman who escaped the residence. The man refused to come out and fired shots later Sunday night that hit parked cars.
Deputies returned fire and hit the man. The sheriff’s office said he died Monday morning at the hospital.
