Among this weekend’s best bets on television:
Saturday
An examination of time travel closes out the season for “The Real History of Science Fiction.” If you time-shift your viewing of this episode, you might wake up in the Renaissance. 9 p.m., BBC America.
On the new reality series “Wingmen,” we meet two pals who take an offbeat approach to their small-town food truck business. Will they self-destruct, or fly to the top of the food chain? 10 p.m., OWN.
Sunday
Season 5 of “The Great Food Truck Race” begins. Racers, start your deep fat fryers. 8 p.m., Food.
We finally learn what ‘70s heartthrob Rex Smith has been up to on “Oprah: Where Are They Now?” It’s OK, we had to Google him, too. 8 p.m., OWN.
The new reality series, “Wicked Tuna: North vs. South,” follows commercial fishermen from New England. 9 p.m., Nat Geo.
On “The Last Ship,” they’re seeking volunteers for human trials of Rachel’s (Rhona Mitra) vaccine and the resulting effects could be nightmarish. 9 p.m., TNT.
It’s the next-to-last episode of “True Blood” and we’re still wondering if peace will ever come to the beleaguered residents of Bon Temps. Um, probably not tonight. 9 p.m., HBO.
