Seattle Fire Department’s Kyle Moore said the woman was unconscious when firefighters rescued her from a second-floor bedroom. Firefighters attempted to perform CPR on the woman but could not revive her. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second person who lived at the home was out of town at the time. The fire happened just after 1 a.m. Sunday.
Fire crews arrived to find heavy flames coming out of the first floor.
Moore said the blaze destroyed the two-story home, causing an estimated $2 million in damages.
Investigators have not yet determined what caused the fire.
