PORTLAND — A man who got bucked off a horse while on a guided tour is suing the horse tour company for $137,000.
The Oregonian reports Thomas Williams claims he was injured last summer at Ocean Trails Riding Stables near Pacific City. The business provides hour-long tours for $55.
According to the suit, a guide’s horse bit Williams’ horse during a tour, causing Williams’ horse to buck and throw him to the ground.
Williams said a guide instructed him to remount the horse and return to the stable. As Williams climbed back on, the horse bucked again and Williams fell.
Williams said he injured a finger, leg and knee in the fall and aggravated a pre-existing knee injury.
Attorneys for both sides did not return calls or email messages on Friday.
