EVERETT — Eugene pitchers Michael Kelly, Colby Blueberg and Seth Lucio combined to pitch a two-hitter as the Emeralds defeated the Everett AquaSox 2-0 in a Northwest League game Saturday night.
Kelly struck out nine and walked one while pitching six no-hit innings. Blueberg allowed both hits, singles in the seventh and the eighth innings. Lucio struck out the side in the ninth for his first save of the year.
The AquaSox (24-44) were shut out for the sixth time this season.
Everett starter Dan Altavilla pitched six innings, allowing two runs, one earned, on four hits while striking out nine and walking none.
Eugene center fielder Austin Bousfield hit a solo home run in the fourth inning to give the Emeralds a 2-0 lead.
