Regarding the ads on television stating that there is a loophole in the law: The state of Washington RCW 9.41.040 outlines persons who are unlawful persons to possess firearms which includes felons and domestic abusers, and RCW 9.41.080 states no person may deliver a firearm to any person whom he or she has reasonable cause to believe is ineligible. That being said, the thousands of Washington state licensed hunters, concealed weapons holders and law-abiding gun owners have the civil right to buy, sell, swap or loan firearms between owners.
