Douglas Fair introductory statement
For the past nine years, it has been my privilege to serve the citizens of Edmonds as the Edmonds Municipal Court Judge. I now look forward to serving all of Snohomish County as your District Court Judge.
During my years as a judge, I have devoted much of my time to judicial education, domestic violence and mental health care. The courts must be active participants in providing judicial training, supporting victims, and ensuring adequate mental health resources. I will work hard to improve public safety by addressing these issues.
My wife and I have raised our family here. I have been an active member of the Edmonds School Board, the Edmonds Community College Foundation, the Snohomish County Bar Association, and the Snohomish County Children’s Commission. Kids and education are a high priority for me. They are the key to our future and I intend to continue working in these areas.
