Kirkland Oktoberfest
The Kirkland Oktoberfest is a three-day festival on Sept. 26-28 on the Kirkland waterfront with plenty of beer, bratwurst and fantastic live music. The festival begins at 4 p.m. on Sept. 26, 11 a.m. on Sept. 27 and 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 28. For more information, visit www.oktoberfestkirkland.com.
Cider Swig
Cider Swig, the Greater Peninsula Cider Festival, is Saturday, Sept. 27 from noon to 5 p.m. at Sehmel Homestead Park in Gig Harbor (10123 78th Ave NW, Gig Harbor). The first annual Cider Swig will have nearly 50 varieties of ciders from a number of area cideries, including Nearly 50 cider varieties by regional cideries, including Finnriver Cidery, Dragon’s Head Cider and Alpenfire Cider. There will also be food pairings from area restaurants. Advance tickets are $25 and can be purchased at www.ciderswig.eventbrite.com. Everett Sausage Fest
The 38th annual Everett Sausage Festival, a family-oriented weekend fair centered around a Bavarian theme, is Oct. 3-5 at the Perpetual Help Church Grounds (Everett Ave. and Cedar, Everett). There will be traditional Bavarian food, beer and entertainment. The sausage fest supports Catholic Education at Immaculate Conception/Our Lady of Perpetual Help School. Admission to the festival is free.
