Among the weekend’s best bets on television:
Saturday
As “The Amazing Race” launches its 25th season, we’re plagued by one burning question: Just how many frequent-flier miles does host Phil Keoghan have in his account? 8 p.m., CBS.
“Guardians of the Galaxy” Star-Lord and Lake Stevens native Chris Pratt hosts “Saturday Night Live” in its 40th-season premiere with pop singer Ariana Grande as his musical guest. 11:30 p.m., NBC.
Sunday
They just couldn’t let it go. Producers of “Once Upon a Time” jump on the “Frozen” bandwagon with a chilling storyline inspired by Anna (Elizabeth Lail), Elsa (Georgina Haig) and the box-office blockbuster. 8 p.m., ABC.
In a special one-hour season premiere episode of “Family Guy,” the Griffins find themselves in Springfield, where Homer Simpson and his family are eager to bond with their new “albino” friends. 9 p.m., Fox.
“Masters of Sex” closes out its deliciously provocative second season as our bedroom researchers finally pass the results of their studies on to the world. But is the world ready? 10 p.m., Showtime.
Also returning: “The Simpsons,” 8 p.m., Fox; “Masterpiece: The Paradise,” 8 p.m., PBS; “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” 8:30 p.m., Fox; “Resurrection,” 9 p.m., ABC; “Masterpiece Mystery: Miss Marple, Endless Night,” 9 p.m., PBS; “Revenge,” 10 p.m., ABC; “CSI,” 9 p.m., CBS.
