Free dental care for uninsured
North Creek Dental Care is offering free dental care to uninsured, low-income adults from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 4. North Creek, located at 12806 Third Ave. SE in Everett, is taking no appointments. Service is first-come, first-served, and registration starts at 7:30 a.m. Patients will be able to choose getting a filling, an extraction or a cleaning. Because a line may form, patients are encouraged to dress warmly and bring chairs and/or blankets. For more information, call 425-745-3766.
Kettlebell classes in Marysville: Marysville Parks and Recreation is offering Beginning Kettlebell classes. Two 30-minute classes per week will include cardio workouts and flexibility exercises. New students register for the 7:30 p.m. session for one month then may sign up for earlier times.
The classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 2-30 for $42 at Totem Middle School. Call 360-363-8450 or register online at marysvillewa.gov.
Dream of fields: A ground-breaking ceremony is scheduled Thursday at Gaffney Field for upgrades at the Everett Boys &Girls Club. The ceremony will take place at 3 p.m. at the Everett club, 2316 12th St.
The upgraded field will have artificial turf, a new scoreboard, fencing, dugouts, lights, seating and practice fields. The renovations are possible through a partnership of Everett Community College, the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation and Snohomish County Parks and Recreation. The Everett Community College softball team practices and plays ball at the field.
