Tips winger Carson Stadnyk received some recognition from the league today, being named the WHL Player of the Week.
The 19-year-old from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, who’s in his third season with the Tips, had seven points during the past weekend’s two wins at Portland. He had two goals and an assist in Saturday’s 5-1 victory, then followed up with a goal and three assists in Sunday’s 6-4 win. The four points Sunday were the most Stadnyk has ever had in a WHL game.
Stadnyk’s seven points sits him one off the league lead in scoring.
