As an alumnus and 50-plus year follower of the Huskies I can not understand coach Petersen’s play decisions during the fourth quarter of the Stanford game. In a closely played tie game, though dominated by Stanford, he decided to go for a first down on a fourth and nine at midfield; what was he thinking? As a result, Stanford scored a touchdown. They kick off to us and we get the ball at the 35-yard line with a Stanford penalty, so coach decides he wants a re-kick and ends up on the 16-yard line instead. What was he thinking? These are extremely bad decisions and we lose the game.
Coach Petersen needs to realize he is now playing in the big leagues and not playing teams from West Hoohaa Dakota (no offense Dakota).
He can do better and I know he will.
