SEATTLE — A 51-year-old Lake Stevens man remained hospitalized Tuesday, more than a week after he was struck by a Snohomish County sheriff’s patrol car.
The man is listed at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle in satisfactory condition, an improvement from previous reports.
The sheriff’s team of collision detectives continues to investigate the Oct. 11 crash, spokeswoman Shari Ireton said. The incident was reported about 3 a.m. on Highway 92 near Lake Stevens. Police say the man was a pedestrian in the road at the time, wearing dark clothing and headphones.
The deputy was on patrol and was not believed to be speeding.
Serious collision investigations often take six months to a year before findings are forwarded to prosecutors for review.
