Car show drives in $9K to fight cancer
The Wheels on the Waterfront Classic Charity Car Show, held Sept. 6 at the Port of Everett Marina, raised $9,000 for Providence General Foundation’s Cancer Patient Assistance Fund, an increase of $2,400 over last year’s show. The check was formally presented Oct. 2.
The event featured 325 show cars, 30 vendors, 72 volunteers, live music and a radio broadcast, wine tasting, a beer garden, beach walks on Jetty island and more than 3,500 in attendance throughout the day.
Over the past three years, the car show has raised $17,300 for cancer patient assistance.
Major sponsors and special event participants included Brien Ford, All Battery Sales and Service, Harbor Marine, Port of Everett, Scuttlebutt restaurant, Columbia Bank, Bayside Marine, Country Farms, Hoglund’s auto and boat top shop, Ron May Towing, Mosaic Insurance, Craven Insurance, Crosswater Yacht Sales, Alpine Boats, Screen Printing Northwest, H&L Sports, Marysville Awards and Gifts, KRKO 1380 AM (Jeff Shade), and Providence General Foundation staff and volunteers.
