TACOMA — The Washington State Patrol says an 86-year-old drunken driver was going the wrong way in the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 in Tacoma late Monday night when he collided with oncoming cars near the Tacoma Dome.
Troopers say the wrong-way driver hit two cars. A passenger in one of the cars was injured and taken to St. Joseph Hospital.
KOMO news reported the 86-year-old University Place man was jailed for investigation of drunken driving and vehicular assault.
