Barefoot Bandit documentary
“The Barefoot Bandit Documentary,” a 70-minute independent film telling the story of the young Camano Island criminal Colton Harris-Moore, is scheduled for two screenings at the Everett Historic Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave. Showtimes are 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. A question-and-answer session with filmmaker Carly Bodmer is planned after the Monday screening. Tickets are available online at www.historiceverettheatre.org.
Lake Stevens firefighters fundraiser: Lake Stevens firefighters plan a fundraiser Dec. 6 at the Ixtapa restaurant on 91st Avenue NE.
Firefighters will work as servers, collecting “tips” for the Lake Stevens Family Center’s Christmas present event for children in town.
The event runs from 5 to 9 p.m. People also can bring unwrapped children’s gifts to donate.
Tree lighting in Terrace: The Mountlake Terrace Christmas tree lighting ceremony is set for 6:30 to 8 p.m. Dec. 5 at Evergreen Playfield, 22205 56th Avenue W.
Mountlake Terrace and Terrace Park elementary students will perform a concert, and Santa will stop by. Cupcakes will be served to celebrate the city’s 60th birthday.
People should dress warmly. The event is free but cash donations are encouraged for the Michelle Ringler Youth Recreation Scholarship Fund.
