The Silvertips finished the first half of the season 20-9-3-1 and in first place in the WHL’s U.S. Division, three points ahead of second-place Portland with three games in hand. The Tips started off the season red hot, going 14-2-2-1 out of the gate, but they’ve slowed of late, finishing off 6-7-1-0. The team has scored more goals than expected as the offensive concerns from before the season began haven’t materialized. However, it’s also given up more goals than it did last season. Still, if the season ended today, Everett would fulfill its guarantee to season ticket holders of finishing no worse than fourth in the Western Conference — the Tips are currently in second and would host Tri-City in the first round of the playoffs.
So how do you think the Tips grade out for the first half?
