Wildwood Spirits opens: Wildwood Spirits Co. Distillery and Tasting Room will host its grand opening Dec. 4 at its location at 19116 Beardslee Boulevard, Suite 102, Bothell. Wildwood Spirits is run by head distiller Erik Liedholm and chef John Howie and has won awards for its Kur Gin and Stark Vatten Vodka. The tasting room will be open from noon to 5 p.m.

Winter Beer Festival: More than 50 Washington breweries, including Mukilteo’s Diamond Knot Brewing, will be pouring bold and tasty winter seasonals at the Winter Beer Fest Dec. 4 and 5 at Hangar 30 at Magnuson Park, 7400 Sand Point Way NE, Seattle. The first session is 5 to 9 p.m. Dec. 4, with sessions two and three from noon to 4 p.m. and 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Dec. 5. Advance tickets are $30 and tickets at the door are $35. Skål! Scandinavian Spirits exhibit: A new national traveling exhibition created by the Museum of Danish America in collaboration with the Nordic Heritage Museum and four other Scandinavian-American institutions will open Dec. 11 at the Nordic Heritage Museum in Seattle and run through Feb. 28, 2016. Skål! Scandinavian Spirits focuses on beer and aquavit, the traditional liquor of Scandinavia that means “the water of life.” Dec. 12: A gallery talk at 2 p.m. by Tova Brant, museum curator. .

Howl-iday Pawty: Arlington’s Skookum Brewery is hosting its annual Howl-iday Pawty Dec. 13 at the brewery, 17925 59th Ave NE, A, Arlington. There will be an ugly holiday sweater contest for dogs (and you), prizes, and more. For more information, visit skookumbrewery.com.

Winter Warmer Invitational: Try six winter seasonal beers from a lineup of Washington breweries at Diamond Knot’s Winter Warmer Invitational noon Dec. 16 at the Diamond Knot Brewpub in Mountlake Terrace.

Ugly Sweater Pub Crawl: Downtown Snohomish bars and businesses are hosting an Ugly Sweater Pub Crawl from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Dec. 19. Prizes will be awarded to the individuals and couples with the “ugliest” Christmas sweater. Participating businesses include: Skip Rock Distillers, Piccadilly Circus, Stewart’s Place, 907 Bar &Grill, Time Out, Oxford Saloon and more. Registration is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Skip Rock Distillers, 104 Ave C, Snohomish. Tickets are $25 day of the event and $20 if purchased in advance at www.snohokiwanis.org, and include two tasting tokens. Proceeds benefit the Snohomish Kiwanis Charitable Foundation.
