The Seahawks released defensive tackle Travian Robertson Friday afternoon, opening a roster spot they have yet to fill. Robertson, who was signed off of Atlanta’s practice squad on Nov. 18, appeared in one game with Seattle, his first after joining the team, then was inactive for the next four games.
While the Seahawks have not yet announced a corresponding move, one possibility is adding help at receiver with Jermaine Kearse and Chris Matthews both dealing with hamstring injuries that could put their status in doubt for Sunday. The Seahawks have only one receiver on their practice squad, Douglas McNeil, who was signed earlier this week.
