PORTLAND, Ore. — Authorities in Portland found the body of a young man in a water feature outside a Pearl District condominium and later responded to the death of a duck hunter.
Investigators don’t suspect foul play in either case.
Portland police say the body of Zacharee Stanford, 19, was found Wednesday at 1:30 a.m. Police say his last known address was in Battle Ground, Washington, and he was dressed as though he were living outdoors.
The cause of death is pending toxicology results.
Later in the morning, a duck hunter at Sauvie Island reported finding his hunting partner in the water.
The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office says there were no signs of foul play, and the body was turned over to the medical examiner.
The man’s name hasn’t been released.
