Cascade Valley Hospital at 330 S. Stillaguamish Ave. is hosting an Energy Star lighting fair with half-price energy-efficient light bulbs. The bulbs will be displayed from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday in the hospital’s cafe. Experts at the fair can educate people about saving energy. The Snohomish County Public Utilities District partnered with the hospital to provide low-cost bulbs.
Mukilteo supports the Seahawks: Mayor Jennifer Gregerson has temporarily renamed one of the city’s streets, Russell Road, Russell Wilson Road in honor of the Seahawks quarterback. The change is effective through Feb. 1.
Snohomish Education Foundation hires new director: The Snohomish Education Foundation has hired Sherri Williams to be its new director. Williams previously worked for Columbia and First Heritage banks in Snohomish. She has also been involved in a number of non-profit groups and community programs throughout Snohomish County for the past 30 years.
Mill Creek parks survey: The city of Mill Creek wants residents to take a survey about parks trails and recreation programming as it plans where to spend money for the next 20 years. A link to the survey is on the city website, www.cityofmillcreek.com. It will be available until the end of February.
