RENTON — Investigators say an overnight fire that burned a vacant home in Renton was arson.
Renton Fire and Emergency Services Deputy Chief Chad Michael says a King County fire marshal found that the fire was set in a mattress.
Michael says it was the third fire in two months on the property that has three dilapidated homes. He says no suspect has been identified in the arson.
One firefighter suffered a pulled hamstring muscle as he was setting up the water supply at the fire just before midnight Wednesday. He was treated at Valley Medical Center.
