CHANDLER, Ariz. — Tom Brady expects his cold to be gone in time for the Super Bowl.
The Patriots quarterback still sounded congested when he said Thursday, “I expect to be 100 percent on Sunday. I’ll be ready to go.”
He showed signs of the cold on Wednesday after appearing healthy during Super Bowl Media Day on Tuesday. He participated fully in practice on Wednesday and said he felt a lot better Thursday.
Brady said it felt good to run around at practice, and that he’s dealt with similar situations many times.
His illness “kind of ran through my house. I’m glad it happened early in the week,” Brady said.
New England plays the defending champion Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX on Sunday.
